Wildflower Composers alum Gabriella Cariddo is pictured here with WSMP Executive Director Dr. Ted Latham and Board Member Elaine Zajano outside of the Villanova Church, home of St. Thomas of Villanova Parish, on the campus of Villanova University, after Dr. Latham conducted the 5/18 premiere of her beautiful new piece entitled "Pierced by the Light," to a text by Hildegard of Bingen, performed by the St. Thomas of Villanova Parish Choir with organist Cecilia Beatty. The piece features a haunting repeated ostinato figure that perfectly evokes the images in Hildegard's poetic text.
